House training program (See More)

Does your dog hold it outside and on walks only to return to the house and eliminate? Many pups confined in a crate and restricted to indoors for several months until they have had all their shots, have unwittingly been trained to eliminate inside. Ironically, it is a testament to the sheer sucess of the training that young dogs will hold when taken outside for a long walk and, upon the return home, go exactly where taught. To the exasperation of their owners who have, unintentionally, trained their pups to eliminate indoors.

To reverse the dog's association of eliminating with being indoors, requires a detailed plan specifically tailored to your dog. Ideally, I'd work with you to coordinate how and where to use a treat, a schedule and dietary management to ensure a successful outcome.

A single, hour and forty-five minute session.

Separation Anxiety Program (See More)

Create a "safe haven" for your dog while you're away. The program consists of teaching the dog that, during the owner's absence, an alternative source of comfort is available. The three types of separation, physical, visual, and emotional are defined and taught separately. Then they are combined so your dog is taught to find satisfaction in activity independent of the owner and to take comfort in his bed when you are unavailable.

A two hour session. Support and follow up by phone as necessary.
